On Regis and Kelly this morning he had the crowd swooning with that to-die-for British accent! He talked about his experience on NBC’s Saturday Night Live and those different accents he used on the show. He gives us a little sample of Russian and Spanish…..swooons!

He continued with his favorite spots in New York City, the possibility of Sherlock Holmes getting a sequel, working with Robert Downey Jr., and getting some anatomy lessons to make sure he got the right body parts in his new film.

Anton Yelchin suits up for the premiere of his latest movie Terminator Salvation at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday (May 14).
In the film, the 20-year-old actor portrays Kyle Reese, a character who is both the father and protégé of future-savior-of-humanity John Connor (Christian Bale). Anton also plays Russian space cadet Pavel Chekov in Star Trek.
“It was very surreal, but at the same time, I’m very very lucky to be able to play these characters,” he says. “Aside from the fact that these are huge movies, the thing I love about this craft is that it’s challenging and fascinating in every way. These were challenges I loved taking on.”
When asked if he prefers playing Connor or Chekov, Anton says, “I don’t know. They’re very different. I’d love to be a gun-wielding bad-ass. I’d love to be sitting here with a shotgun right now.”

Termination Salvation (and Star Trek) star Anton Yelchin is a 20-year-old actor with “probing intellect of a man four times his age,” according to UK’s Dazed & Confused magazine.

“I was totally, immediately in love with acting,” he says. “There’s such potential for catharsis, for analyzing the human condition; for exploring yourself. I mean, I can’t work on myself for s—, but sometimes through the characters I find something deep inside myself that ends up really affecting me. It’s hard to be self-analytical, but with acting, you do find that you’re suddenly learning something about yourself.”

Anton philosophies, “There’s no emotional rest with acting. You’re always kind of in it. Which is how it should be, actually. I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
