Не все ищут братьев по разуму, половина ищет сестер по глупости...
Я не одна такая!
I hate season 2 of The Alienist, and I'm not ashamed to say it. It was poorly written and down right disappointing. The writers turned it into a shell of what the original story was, and I'll never forgive them for it. Especially since they killed off a main character that doesn't even die in the book. Plus, they turned the main characters into people they aren't; it was like they weren't even themselves this season. As someone who has read both books I feel sad that all of you won't get to see the wonderful moments that actually happened in The Angel of Darkness.
• Stevie's back story and the wonderful friendship he and Dr. Kreizler share. Not to mention the maternal friendship between Stevie and Sara Howard as well.
• More of Dr. Kreizler's past and his interactions with his students. The way he cares for his friends. How he helps Clara Hatch fight the struggles she has faced in her life.
• How much more of a badass Sara Howard is.
• Marcus and Lucius Isaacson's sibling driven bickering, which is very amusing. Seeing them make scientific progress and watching them grow as people.
• Libby Hatch's truly dark and twisted background. Learning what she did to her daughter Clara and her two sons, as well as children that weren't hers. The way she manipulated everyone around her to get what she wanted. The way whole towns were terrified by just the mention of her name!
• All of the amazing characters that weren't even in the show.
• The suspenseful and dramatic ending to the whole story as well as an appearance from Theodore Roosevelt.
We were cheated and deprived of a wonderful second season to The Alienist. So I hope you will try to read The Angel of Darkness by Caleb Carr, because it's such a wonderful story. A story that was ruined by tnt and the writers involved in the making of season 2.х
